On Friday, March 21, former Capuchino High School standout Devin Meyer’s current college team, the Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans, lost 6-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Point Loma Sea Lions.
The game took place at Carroll B. Land Stadium. This was their fourth matchup against the Sea Lions this season.
The Vulcans’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 6:35 p.m. at Les Murakami Stadium against Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
