On Saturday, March 29, former Capuchino High School standout Ryan Lordier’s current college team, the Manhattan Jaspers, won 9-8 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Quinnipiac Bobcats.
The game took place at Quinnipiac Baseball Field. This was their second matchup against the Bobcats this season.
The Jaspers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at Quinnipiac Baseball Field against Quinnipiac Bobcats.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
