On Wednesday, April 30, former Capuchino High School standout Ryan Lordier’s current college team, the Manhattan Jaspers, won 5-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Lafayette Leopards.
The game took place at Clover Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Leopards this season.
The Jaspers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, May 2 at 3 p.m. at Clover Stadium against Saint Peter’s Peacocks.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
