Former Carlmont High School standout Katie Fung helped her current Washington Bears squad secure a 12-5 win over the Grinnell Pioneers in an NCAA Division III softball contest held Sunday, March 1, at noon.

The matchup at WashU Softball Field marked their opener against Grinnell this season.

Fung pitched 2.1 innings, allowing one earned run while issuing four walks and striking out one batter.

The Bears are set to face Grinnell again at WashU Softball Field on Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m.
