On Friday, March 21, former Hillsdale High School standout Blake Cowans’ current college team, the UIC Flames, won 17-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Southern Illinois Salukis.
The game took place at Itchy Jones Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Salukis this season.
The Flames’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at Itchy Jones Stadium against Southern Illinois Salukis.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
