On Wednesday, March 19, former Junipero Serra High School standout Joey Damelio’s current college team, the Pepperdine Waves, lost 11-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The game took place at Eddy D. Field Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Cornhuskers this season.
The Waves’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 3 p.m. at Eddy D. Field Stadium against Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
