The lowest reported price for premium gas in San Mateo County was $5.89 per gallon during the week ending May 16, available at two gas stations, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $6.62 per gallon for premium gas.
Of the 170 reported gas stations in cities within San Mateo County, 121 offered premium gas.
Statewide, premium gas averaged $6.47 per gallon for the week ending May 16, up from the previous week.
