On Saturday, April 12, former Capuchino High School standout Diego Morales’ current college team, the Dubuque Spartans, lost 12-9 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Wartburg Knights.
The game took place at Harms Stadium at Hertel Field. This was their third matchup against the Knights this season.
The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 1 p.m. at Daniels Park – Bill Quinby Field against Coe Kohawks.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
