On Sunday, March 23, former Terra Nova High School standout Jeremy Keller’s current college team, the Chico State Wildcats, won 6-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters.
The game took place at Otter Sports Center. This was their fourth matchup against the Otters this season.
The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 6 p.m. at Nettleton Stadium against Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
