At 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, the Pepperdine Waves, featuring former Junipero Serra High School standout Kai Laxa, secured a 7-1 victory in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Saint Mary’s Gaels.
The matchup was held at Louis Guisto Field. It marked the third contest between these teams this season, with each side splitting the series up to this point.
Laxa contributed one hit in four at-bats, scored a run, and stranded one runner.
The Waves are set to play next against the Washington Huskies on Tuesday, March 24, at Eddy D. Field Stadium.
