The Pepperdine Waves earned a 9-5 victory over the Saint Mary’s Gaels in NCAA Division I baseball at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. Former Junipero Serra High School player Kai Laxa contributed to the win with his college team.
The matchup took place at Louis Guisto Field and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. The Waves previously fell to the Gaels 9-8 on Friday, March 20.
Laxa tallied three hits in four at-bats, scored two runs and drew one walk.
The Waves are set to face the Gaels again at Louis Guisto Field on Sunday, March 22.
