Pepperdine Waves fall to Cal Poly Mustangs in NCAA Division I matchup featuring Kai Laxa

On Tuesday, April 14, at 5:05 p.m., the Pepperdine Waves, the college team of former Junipero Serra High School standout Kai Laxa, were defeated 7-3 by the Cal Poly Mustangs in an NCAA Division I baseball matchup.

The NCAA game was played at Baggett Stadium and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. In their earlier contest on Tuesday, March 3, the Waves suffered a 12-2 defeat to the Mustangs.

Laxa contributed two hits in four at-bats, drove in a run and struck out once.

The Waves are set to play next on Friday, April 17, at George C. Page Stadium, facing the Loyola Marymount Lions.
