On Friday, March 21, former Capuchino High School standout Ryan Lordier’s current college team, the Manhattan Jaspers, lost 9-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
The game took place at Veterans Park. This was their first matchup against the Pioneers this season.
The Jaspers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at Veterans Park against Sacred Heart Pioneers.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
