On Saturday, April 19, former Carlmont High School standout Sarissa Block’s current college team, the Cal State East Bay Pioneers, won 1-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Chico State Wildcats.
The game took place at Pioneer Softball Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Wildcats this season.
The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 1 p.m. at CSUSM Softball Field against Cal State San Marcos Cougars.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
