On Saturday, March 22, former Hillsdale High School standout Blake Cowans’ current college team, the UIC Flames, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Southern Illinois Salukis.
The game took place at Itchy Jones Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Salukis this season.
The Flames’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. at Itchy Jones Stadium against Southern Illinois Salukis.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
