Cost of college went up for all students at Menlo College

Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at Menlo College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $42,800 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,450 more than the $41,350 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 148 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.6 million and 85 students took out student loans totaling more than $560,499.

Including all undergraduates (775), 724 students used grants or scholarships totaling $19.8 million, and 402 students took out $2.8 million in federal student loans.
