Graduates earn 825 degrees, certificates from Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts

About 59.2 percent of the 825 degrees and certificates handed out by Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts in 2017-18 were to students in programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Mateo conferred 470 certificates and 18 associate's degrees in licensed practical/vocational nurse training programs.

Other popular programs include medical/clinical assistant, diagnostic medical sonography/sonographer and ultrasound technician and magnetic resonance imaging (mri) technology/technician.

The academy enrolled 1,687 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
