Menlo Park-based InstaGram censors RFK Jr. anti-vaccine posts

Insta

InstaGram has banned the account of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for posting claims regarding potentially deadly side effects from COVID-19 vaccines.

InstaGram noted in a statement that Kennedy was banned “for repeatedly sharing debunked claims.”

Kennedy, the son of former U.S. Attorney General and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, is a noted anti-vaxxer.

“This kind of censorship is counterproductive if our objective is a safe and effective vaccine supply,” Kennedy said in a statement after being kicked off the social media provider.

Kennedy’s Facebook account is still active.

Twitter has not indicated whether it will engage in censorship of Kennedy. He posts similar information to both platforms that he formerly posted to InstaGram.

Kennedy’s is one of many voices across social media that have suffered censorship due to holding unfavorable options.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently said Big Tech censorship is “political manipulation.”

InstaGram’s headquarters is located inside Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park.
