Census Bureau: More women than men in San Mateo County in 2019

Of the 767,423 people living in San Mateo County in 2019, 50.6 percent (388,095) were women and 49.4 percent (379,328) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the San Mateo Sun.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 244,787-to-242,255. In the 65 and over age range, there were 68,128 females and 52,749 males.
