Of the 762,488 citizens living in San Mateo County in 2021, 79.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 606,703 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 299,643 were male, constituting 49.4%, and 307,060 were female, making up 50.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in San Mateo County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.2%.
