On Sunday, April 13, former Junipero Serra High School standout Jake Downing’s current college team, the Cal Poly Mustangs, won 5-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.
The game took place at Baggett Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Rainbow Warriors this season.
The Mustangs’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 5 p.m. at Baggett Stadium against Santa Clara Broncos.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
