On Sunday, March 30, former Carlmont High School standout Tripp Garrish’s current college team, the Air Force Falcons, won 7-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the New Mexico Lobos.
The game took place at Santa Ana Star Field. This was their third matchup against the Lobos this season.
The Falcons’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 4:05 p.m. at Erdle Field against San Diego State Aztecs.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
