On Sunday, March 30, former Junipero Serra High School standout Joey Damelio’s current college team, the Pepperdine Waves, lost 6-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the San Diego Toreros.
The game took place at Fowler Park. This was their third matchup against the Toreros this season.
The Waves’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Stadium against UCLA Bruins.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
