On Tuesday, April 1, former Junipero Serra High School standout DJ Ghiorso’s current college team, the Loyola Marymount Lions, lost 3-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos.
The game took place at George C. Page Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Gauchos this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 6 p.m. at George C. Page Stadium against Pacific Tigers.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
