On Wednesday, March 19, former Aragon High School standout Rae D’Amato’s current college team, the Cal State San Marcos Cougars, won 7-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Pace Setters.
The game took place at CSUSM Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Setters this season.
The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 2:35 p.m. at CSUSM Softball Field against Pace Setters.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former San Mateo County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
