City of Belmont issued the following announcement on Dec 4.
On Saturday, 11/28/2020, at approximately 1:05PM a bicyclist was struck in the intersection of Old County Road and Masonic Way.
The suspect vehicle, a dark blue Chevrolet Malibu, fled the scene northbound on Old County Road. The bicyclist was transported to a local trauma center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and was released that same day. Witnesses reported the suspect vehicle driving erratically before and after the collision.
Officers have identified and located the suspect vehicle which was determined to be a rental vehicle. Officers are working to positively identify the driver of the suspect vehicle.
Witnesses who may have observed the vehicle, or driver, or anyone who may have video or photographs of the vehicle, or driver, prior to or after the collision are asked to contact Traffic Officer Casey Perrault at 650-595-7400.
